
Documentary Filmmaker
A post graduate in Journalism and Mass commutation, Aakash began his career with the production department of the National Broadcaster Doordarshan. He has hands on experience in conceptualization and implementation of audio-visual strategies and projects. He has started his career in Sansad TV (Parliament of India) 2007 to 2019.
In Sansad TV Aakash has made a documentary series FAIRS OF INDIA, a specialized coverage of Culture & Heritage of India, Delhi Night Dwellers, Bhopal Gas Tragedy and many more. He is awarded from National Institute of Design (NID) for documentary “In Search of Destiny“ also with acclaimed documentaries like The mentor (Sonam Wangchuk), Speaking Blackboard (Unnayan Education Project ,Banka and this Unnayan Project got PM Excellence Award), Rangamma, Filmmaker, Womeniya (Women Band Bihar).
He has been recognized with his independent documentary screenings at Aljazeera International Film Festival, Lift off International Film Festival England & participated in many National Film Festivals like IFFK in Trivandrum, Alpviram South Asian Documentary Film Festival, and Woodpecker film festival.
He also won Woodpecker film festival award for best documentary “Womeniya” In the field of Radio Production, Aakash has also planned a community radio campaign for Ministry of Skill Development, Govt of India.
He has successfully accomplished a campaign named “ISPATI IRADA” for Ministry Of Steel, Govt. of India, in which he has made 12 stories of some iconic people in their fields, who have done immense work for the society like – Tijan Bai, Stanzin Dorjai, and Neeraj Saxena. After this campaign, the story of Neeraj Saxena created a great impact. The CM of MP announced a road to the particular school after watching his story and he also got the prestigious President Award 2022.
During COVID he has also made a campaign film ‘AB PADHAI NAHI RUKEGI’ and two stories of Usha Dubey and Sharad Kumar Pandey (Teachers of MP Education Department and PM Modi has also taken their names in Man Ki Baat) lead by Rajya Siksha Kendra, MP Education Department.
